The whole process from the alarm being raised to dispatching the Fire brigade takes only seconds and because all the systems are continuously monitored any system failure can be investigated.
The British standard for the installation of fire alarm systems is BS 5839 with local governments having the power to increase and adopt a more strict standard in the interest of public safety. In all events annual certification with quarterly Inspection for all fire systems is required with further in house checks carried out by the user.
