Fire and security system maintenance contract wins for Tamar Security

Tamar Security, has been awarded the fire and security system maintenance contracts for both East Devon District Council (EDDC) and Libraries Unlimited. Covering EDDC's corporate buildings - 35-plus fire alarms, intruder alarms, hearing loops and CCTV, including the CCTV system within Sidmouth town centre, we were granted the three-year maintenance contract following a competitive tender process. Simon Allchurch, Facilities Manager at EDDC, said: "The contract was awarded following a rigorous assessment of all the tender submissions. As our buildings and facilities' security is of paramount importance, we needed to choose a contract provider with the right knowledge, aptitude, and service level. "Tamar Security exceeded all of our requirements."

Before this tender, we already held the intruder alarm servicing contract for EDDC.

Simon added: “We are delighted to continue our long-term working relationship with Tamar Security." The EDDC win comes soon after securing the security maintenance contract for the 30 Devon premises of Libraries Unlimited. Won following a separate tender process, we will maintain the intruder alarms and CCTV systems at all the libraries within Devon. As a significant amount of the contracts cover public buildings, we are pleased to be doing our bit in making our community a safer one." We have been safeguarding public buildings, commercial properties and homes across the South West for over 35 years. Both fire and security system maintenance contracts have begun and will last for three-years initially.
